How DAP-Pakatan HATE STRATEGY failed
1. For many months now, sympathizers and supporters of the DAP-Pakatan in many NGOs (e.g. ACCCIM) have urged the BN Fed Govt to get rid of the fuel subsidy. They tried (very hard) to take advantage of the Govt sincere initiative to reform our nation economy. So what was their failed plan?
2. Since last year, DAP-Pakatan knew that the Govt will make a decision on the fuel subsidy sometime in the middle of this year (2011) due to the continuous increase of the world fuel price. This info was leaked by Anwar’s sympathizers in the Govt. At first, they expected the announcement to be made in early May 2011. I don’t blame these Govt officials. They worked hard and whenever someone gives suggestions or ideas, they consider them without any prejudice.
3. In the DAP-Pakatan strategy, once the Government announced that the fuel subsidy is decreased or removed (early May 2011), they will use the whole month (May 2011) to build up momentum (i.e. incite hatred) against the ruling Govt. The ultimate event will be the scheduled BERSIH 2.0 walk in June. They saw what had happened in North Africa and Middle East and they wanted to “emulate” those protest here.
4. However, in order for the “mass demonstration” to succeed, there must be something that can motivate normal “Joe and Jane” to go out to the streets under the hot sun. That “something” is the high cost of living which would have happened if the fuel subsidy was removed. Thank God, unlike in 2007, we have an astute and brilliant PM!
5. If you go to BERSIH 2.0 website, it is stated that the walk is a “walk for democracy”. In reality, it has nothing to do with democracy at all. Do a simple Google search and see when this BERSIH 2.0 first came to surface? The original BERSIH (in 2007) which saw thousands and thousands of Malaysians coming out to the streets was hijacked at the end of the day by Lim Guan Eng and Lim Kit Siang (both arrived late by the way). Many of the original committee of the BERSIH 1.0 are not supporting or endorsing the event this time around.
6. Now, the BERSIH “demo” is without any “extra uumph”. It is now just a pathetic event by bunch of DAP-Pakatan supporters and sympathizers. I don’t doubt there might be a few non DAP-Pakatan supporters who will demonstrate (mostly these will be gullible folks who somehow think a change in Govt in GE13 will result in their children getting scholarship or an extra 10% discount for buying a house...LOL).
7. Now, the Govt have decided that the fuel subsidy will remain as it is. This proved that the Govt listen to the suggestions, grouses and concerns of everyday RAKYAT. For many months majority of the RAKYAT who were surveyed (knowingly or unknowingly), spoke/wrote/tweet/posted their worries and concerns if the fuel subsidy was removed.
8. So, if you think that your voice/tweet/FB post/comments/blogs talking about the nation policies are not being listened to by those who walked the corridors of powers, think again! If you sincerely give a CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISMS, there will be people who monitor, take note and pass your criticisms/suggestions to the relevant people. However if you make criticisms based on political interest then, you can go and fly a kite!
